Lydia Munden is a missionary to Dumfries, Scotland, where she works with River of Life Church as a youth outreach leader.

Her outreach takes on many forms, but the primary expression of her ministry is as a Chaplain in local high schools, where she runs weekly Christian programs that attract young people of all faith backgrounds and give them a space to build connections with each other, the local church, and God. Lydia also runs discipleship and community groups for girls from various local churches/schools, offers support to young persons, and assists in leading the church’s youth ministry.

Additionally, Lydia serves her local church and town through their community-facing coffee shop and food project, as well as the church’s worship, kids and visual media ministries.

Originally from Plano, Texas, Lydia first devoted her life to God at the age of five, and since carried a burden for children and youth, local missions, the Church, and seeing people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord. During a church internship program following high school, Lydia began to prayerfully consider whether the Lord was directing her to Scotland for mission work. Shortly after, an opportunity became available to participate in two short-term mission outreaches to Dumfries, Scotland with her church in 2014 and 2015 followed by a solo trip to Dumfries in 2016.

Thanks to God?s grace, the generosity and prayers of many wonderful individuals, as well as the ministerial support and oversight of the local church, Lydia was able to move to Dumfries in September of 2016, and has since been devoted to reaching and supporting young people in their faith-journeys, serving the local community and supporting the outworking of the local churches.

Whether by one-time gift or monthly donation, any amount helps in supporting her work, ministry expenses, and visa.
